Dogs sniff stuff all the time, why?

Dogs have a much higher sense of smell than we humans. And they also can sniff more than many animals.

Dogs sniff so much, because they want to identify whatever they are smelling. It could be an object, a human or anything else. It doesn´t matter much to them what they´re sniffing, they just want to label it as either dangerous or safe.

Whenever pooches meet another dog or a human, they sniff in order to find if what they are smelling is not a threat to them.

You´ll surely see your pet sniff when you take him to the park, or to the backyard.  Please always walk your pooch on a leash and be thankful for having a dog in your life.
